1996 |
I gained my BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy qualification from the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy at The University of Birmingham. |
1996 - 1999 |
I gained a wide range of experience as a Junior Physiotherapist at the Worcester Royal Infirmary including Orthopaedics, Elderly Care, Neurology, Outpatients, Respiratory, Rhematology and Hydrotherapy. |
1999 - 2000 | I further consolidated these skills as a Senior Physiotherapist for South Warwickshire General Hospitals. This included areas such as Neurology, Outpatients, Respiratory, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. |
2000 - 2007 | I moved to Coventry PCT where I played a leading role in setting up a new inpatient physiotherapy service as part of the Intermediate Care team. This unit specialised in the rehabilitation of hospital patients to regain their functional levels prior to their admission. I worked closely with the whole multi-professional team, the patient and their family. An extensive range of acute, chronic and complex conditions were treated. |
2007 - 2011 | I became the Lead Physiotherapist at a respite centre for people with Multiple-Sclerosis and other conditions. During this time, I set high minimum standards of service, led innovative approaches to treatment, and created a positive and "can-do" culture. This, together with the application of my broad experience, improved patient satisfaction and ensured physiotherapy was a highly valued service at the centre. |
2011 to date |
Since 2011 I have been working hard to turn Armada Physio into the flourishing business that it has become today. I am currently treating an extensive range of different conditions in patients' homes or in larger group physiotherapy sessions. |
